It took me 29 years to discover my wanderlust. After my initiation to the travel secrets and rituals I was hooked and continued to explore the world. My travel horizon expanded and so did my interest in photography. In the beginning I took snapshots of random memories whereas in recent years I thought about documenting my travels from a more sophisticated perspective.

ln 2015 I was in Japan with a friend and we chatted about our dream to go on a world trip. I did some research and decided that going on a one year world trip seemed achievable and desirable. So I started to save money for at least 2 years to make a dream come true.

I believe in traveling with cabin baggage. All trips I’ve done in the last years were used to hone and improve my skills of packing a bag with only the most necessary belongings. I completed an extended trip to different climate zones around the world using cabin baggage and I’m more then willing to inspire you how you can do it too.

… visited the island of Texel to meet with grandparents

… received the message I’d be father once more from February 2025
… prepared and celebrated an awesome wedding

What happened in 2023

… went camping in a Campervan in Portugal
… made good use of my Jahreskarte in Wilhelma
… visited Tunisia on several occasions
… proposed to marry on Texel in April
… went for a bike-trip along Cantabrian coast

What happened in 2022

… spent time with my daughter in a PEKiP course with only other moms
… learned how to change diapers in light-speed
… retrieved my in-laws from the Polish border because of Russian war on Ukraine
… passed a nice family vacation in Texel, Netherlands
… enjoyed parental leave twice for one month in February and July
… visited Nabeul, Tunisia with the baby for almost 2 months

What happened in 2021

… received the message I’d be father of a girl from September
… learned how to prepare tasty but alcohol free cocktails
… went snow shoe hiking in January on Swabian Alb
… ascended to Rotwandhaus in Schliersee
… attended the second part of teacher education in Kum-Nye
… celebrated my 40th Birthday in the wineyards of Stuttgart with a lot of friends
… ate in a lot of nice restaurants during the non Covid lockdown period
… went on a car expedition to Austria + Italy
… harvested vegetables from a community farm in our foregarden
… had a very good time at Klanx Festival 2021 in Switzerland
… attended my brothers marriage in Wuppertal
… puzzled at least 3.000 pieces in Laurence King puzzles

What happened in 2020

… virus Sars-Cov2 hit a global scale and prevented the ship cruise 
… Pandemic with lockdown including closed borders of Germany
… founded my own company to sell Cloud based software
… I intensified my studies of Tibetan Buddhism
… my great friend and grandmother passed away
… went from Stuttgart to Trieste on a Tandem bike
… visited Kiev in December and found out about pickled Tomatoes

What happened in 2019

… went on a trip to Israel and Palestine (didn’t party too much in Tel Aviv though)
… Reserved a cabin for a ship cruise with my grandmother
… went for a long hike on the Biscayan coast

What happened in 2018

… moved to Nabeul and started being an Expatriate in Tunisia
… became a certified Nitrox diver on a dive safari in the Red Sea
… cycled from Starnberger See to Stuttgart on a snowy Easter weekend
… crossed Europe from Stuttgart to Istanbul on a bike with a total of 3.500 KM
… went on a road trip in eastern Europe and visited parts of the Balkan

… got certified as a Open Water Diver in Nha-trang
