After a fun night out with a lot of laughter and some drinks involved I hit the streets of Hanoi for another walk. The city provides so many good options for food and I had the chance to find some real good Pho soup out on the street. The vibe of the City is different. Many old colonial buildings and the prominent scooter traffic are things that I would attribute to this feeling.

The area around the Hoan Kiem lake turns into one giant walking street area on a saturday night. Most people are having innocent and basic entertainment by jumping ropes, trying to break the literal high score by kicking a rubber band up in the air. Kids are playing rope pull and adults ride on their roller skates.

All this is completed by a giant stage put up by a local instant coffee brand where a well equipped girl in a short dress is pretending to drop the beat without taking acoustic sanity into account. South-East Asia at it’s best.
