Don McCullin

I had a good talk to a young man in my hostel. He was a graphic designer / illustrator from London, UK. We talked about our hobbies and especially photography. He brought the talk to a guy named Don McCullin who I hadn’t heard of before. When I found out that there was a documentation about him available online I didn’t wait too long before watching it.

Be aware, that there is a lot of explicit scenes in this documentation due to the subject of McCullins work as a war photographer. It left me in tears and with a lot of confusion about mankind and what this man has done and seen in his life.

Not for the faint hearted. But definitely a good documentation if you like to learn about the ethics and insights of documentary photography.

Thank you Mario for sharing this with me.
