The day started with a nice breakfast in a very fancy cafe that could be located in New York, Berlin or as it turns out Beijing. Great Joghurt and Matcha Latte made for a good start in my day. I rented a bike afterwards just to cycle around a little more. Went to the Confucian temple which is really impressive. The Chinese society seems so much more related to learning and discipline as the friendly buddhism that you’d find in the other asian countries. This is not bad, but just a swing in the feeling when you enter a temple.
After the sun started to set I went into an area packed with hundreds of little restaurants where I had a good hearty pig belly roasted slowly to perfection. And some more frozen Joghurt which Chinese people seem to be eating quite a lot.
This day did not hold too much sightseeing, I am still preparing to go to the Tiananmen Square, the forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven.
