This reminded me a lot about being at Sibiu last year. The tracks are long forgotten. The railway between Bangkok and Battambang isn’t running since the civil war broke out the premises are abandoned and don’t serve any other purpose than providing a nice afternoon trip.

The idea of a perfect cycle path from Bangkok to Siam Reap with ecologic accommodation en route sprung to my mind. I guess when they can do it in Wuppertal, they should be at least able to do it in Cambodia. That would be one hell of a attraction for tourists. Utopia to the rescue.
